WEE ROLL campers

We have started looking for an alternative to our home built tear. We need to be able to stand up and have room for a toilet. We are not able to build or convert due to physical limitations. We have been looking at small campers such as the KZ 14 ft Sportsmen. It's a nice little unit but won't fit in our garage like our teardrop. I just stumbled upon a company that builds cargo conversions. Any thoughts, knowledge, comments on the WEE ROLL based in Florida?

I'm not familiar with the manufacturer, but they look like nice trailers.

Decide on what you need and shop around. Visit cargo trailer lots to get an idea of each manufacturer's building methods. All the windows, rv doors, vents, insulation, ceiling panels, lights, 110 shore power connections, etc can be ordered as options. The prices do add up! After looking at a few others, you can decide how well you like the Wee Roll campers, or if you can fit in something else. Good luck!

I don't believe this company is still around but they made a very nice trailer. You would think others would follow..

Lol.. We'd go broke quick. I work too slow and I'd have to field test every one for a few months just to make sure everything works. ;-)

Hello,
I have been tossing around a diy cargo trailer due to budget and my concern was having to buy the necessary tools to complete the job. I just recently found them on the web, It seems like the necessary items are there for typical camper needs, I felt like it was a little bit of structural overkill for a camper they way they were built.
the price seems pretty good, I did call the guy, does not respond well to email, says he gets a ton of email pricing request but cant get to them," he has trailers to build" says if someone is serious they will call....kind of old school, but did take the time to answer every thing.

Are there Any other product out there that are comparable? They seem at the top of the list, vs me doing it myself

There are cheap lousy makers just like all market categories.

Pretty rare to pay a premium direct and get lousy work, but high price is no guarantee.

Sorry I thought you were talking about the product category in general.

I take it you're referring to a specific brand? That's not clear.

If Weeroll, only positive reports, and lots of them.

AWESOME THANKS SO MUCH, I have only heard good about them as well and I keep looking for anything not so favorable, just nervous I guess. I spoke to Tom at weeroll today, and It was like I was being interviewed, asking me what I am going to be using it for, what my tow vehicle was, how many people camp with me, any motorcycles tie downs etc, which really got me thinking.

So headed up from Miami to check them out and maybe pull the trigger

thanks again

Thank you all so much for the comments.

I did take a ride up and spent a good while with them.

I will say they kind of over did it on the construction, they are super strong and overbuilt for a camper and built structurally different than a typical cargo trailer.

It seems they have taken the cargo trailer conversion concept and merged it will a camper ie. extended tongue for generator or propane, receiver hitch for rear cargo, insulation in the ceiling and walls, good size windows and a separate ac door to slide it in and out, which was kind of cool.

Now the big decision is steel construction or aluminum ???

will keep page posted

Yes, they can build anything any size you want. They also go by the name ATG (Aluminum Trailer Group). I had my trailer built by them. Trailer is great but highly disappointed with options I had added. Insulation, electrical, cabinets, etc. Sent very detailed drawing with exact placement and measurements. Now I am removing it all and starting over. Should have just ordered as basic as possible but was trying to save myself some work.
Also, as stated already in this thread, communication is challenging. Phone calls are your only hope.

I ordered mine 6'6"wide x 12'long. 66" inside roof height. I'll attempt to post an image.

Are you sure Thomas Dennis/ATG and Wee Roll are the same outfit?
