I'd ensure a vapor barrier on both in and out side, function of the house wrap.

If there's extra space for dead air to the outside in a hot climate, the reflective layer goes inside that space facing out.

No need for bubble wrap, plain thin mylar sheet, very cheap and flimsy is usually OK in that position.

Hey Garth,
If I remember correctly you use this trailer to stay in when you are working, right? And it pretty much stays in the same place for extended periods? I'm just guessing now but east of the Mississippi and south of Mason- Dixon? Maybe MO.,KY., or TN. area? And really your biggest problem with this trailer besides the unusually cold winter this year is your feet are cold because the floor is cold, right? So I bet you would be happy as hell if your trailer was as comfortable as mobile home and you didn't have to marry the fat girl at Home Depot so you could afford the materials to make it that way, wouldn't you? Yeah, I thought so...

Thanks! Makes me wonder... Just use house wrap on the exterior layer so that it can breathe to the outside in the event there is some moisture.

I put down interlocking foam floor mats in our Teardrop and it helps the floor not feel as cold.

Here are some skirting vids. Another thing that could be a big help would be to put a ground cover under the trailer first. This will keep the ground moisture from rising up into that space. Then any skirting that keeps the air from exchanging will be a big help, and you can get as fancy as you want. I really liked the PVC pipe frame idea in vid# 1. That type of system would be easy to remove and store and re-install the next time.
