Nice Job and thanks for the videos.

I think the pump may be so loud because you have mounted it to the wall and it is "resonating". From the video, it sounds almost like the Aluminum skin is picking it up and amplifying? That is really loud and guess it is not that loud when not attached to the wall. You might try mounting it on the floor and make sure to use some good vibration isolators... something that does not resonate with the pump?

My pump has the vibration isolators built in to the feet (I think most do), but they need to be horizontal and the screws should not clamp them down so as to compress them. When they are mounted vertical and/or tightened to compress.. the vibration isolator may not perform as intended and transmit the vibration and possibly resonate depending on the particular area.

Thanks.. Was thinking of throwing a piece of foam behind it. Would be hard for me to get it on the floor at this point. Will keep it in mind.

Thanks!

Here is the latest ...

Also was at wally world and saw this. Looks like it would be good in a tear or small cargo. Not sure how well it works ... but what caught my attention is it will run on AC or DC. $39.95 It is a small evap cooler.

That brings back some memories, Mr. Bo. When I was growing up in the high desert and mountains of N.M. all we ever had was swamp coolers and they worked really well. We even had one that you would roll up in the window of the truck and the wind powered the squirrel cage and there was a tank you would fill in the a.m.. You just need to remember to leave a window or vent open at the opposite end of the house/room etc. to let the warm moist air out.
Do you remember when we had water bags hanging on the side mirror or in front of the radiator of the truck? That water was amazingly cold in 100f temps. I still have one that was never used, it just hung in the barn for 50+ yrs. One of my most prized possessions. It is proudly displayed on the bathroom door of the CTC.

We had a swap cooler in Phoenix. I preferred it over the a.c.. Master cool. It worked great. Of course these work better in the west us then east. Thanks for sharing!

That swamp cooler would be a no go in Florida when needed the most.Typically when it is in the 80s or higher, the humidity is also 80% or higher.

What does the humidity level have to be for that to work? I will be out in the desert next year and maybe that would be a nice thing to have in the CTC when running off solar? Would it be worth trying?

Works great in the desert and out west. I bet they don't even sell these on the east coast. But maybe on line.

There are however a few weeks in the summer when the monsoons roll in from the south where the humidity climbs a bit and limits the effectiveness of swamp coolers. It is kinda hit and miss and you never quite know from day to day how bad the humidity will be.

Update

Kitchen is pretty much there and buttoned up. Also everything has been clear-coated. Just need to secure the refrigerator and find or make a lock of some sort for the refrigerator door when in motion. Stove works now and the heater buddy is mounted, worked great on the test ( was worried about side wall but it was fine), can also be removed and moved to center of floor. Drilled one hole for hoses and silicone it. Not going to do the microwave for now. This is the "deluxe model". The "super deluxe model" will be when I add the Microwave and TV.

So happy to have that part done.

Got the magnetic screen for the door off ebay for $6 with free shipping. ( you can get 2 for 12.00) Works great. Came up with an idea to get another for the back and just use half of one for the back opening horizontally.

Next Solar Panel Kickstand and storage mount under the bed.

Then the Moment of truth comes

Hook it up to the SUV and see "HOW Low can she go". Hoping the back weight will help the tongue weight by also adding 5 gal of water and a cooler full of ice and beverages. about 225lbs in the front and 400lbs in the back.

If not we will be camping in the yard for a while. Been great for happy hour so far

Wishing you the best with your build or coming build.

As the beat goes on....

Regards,
Mr Bo

That looks good Mr. Bo. Real good. So, tongue weight is a very important thing to know. You want 10-15% of total trailer weight on the tongue hitch. There are several ways to measure the tongue weight, but here is a way estimate trailer weight and balance. Just insert your numbers where you see the red numbers and the program will do the math.
https://www.engineersedge.com/calculato ... alance.htm
Also, be sure that your hitch is the right height for the trailer. My Pace 6x12 requires 16" hitch height, the height will affect the weight on the hitch and the attitude of the trailer. You want to be level in flight with 10-15% of trailer weight on the hitch.

Good luck with the test flight,

McDave

Good luck on Maiden Voyage. Go to Wal-Mart and then to the baby section. Look for the cabinet and outlet safety devices. There will be some stick on strap type locks. I use that on my fridge and it works great. I have also seen them in hardware stores. I will post a pic later if you are not sure what I am talking about.
