That is a nice looking outfit. Like the awning and the rest of your campsite.

Some more pictures from checking out the Royal Gorge and camping a couple weekends ago.

Came across this tiny gem. For scale, those wheels/tires are golf cart sized...not sure how someone's fitting in that trailer but hey, it's cute.

jmanscotch, Howdy;

Nice foot-bridge photo. Think that the wee-bitty camper might be for some Hobbits
 .

Took a long weekend with the wife and explored southwest Colorado a bit. Oprah, Silverton, Telluride....all epic Colorado.

Our quick sleep over in Gunnison after driving 4 hours after work Friday.

Cinnamon Pass, which we took from Lake City to Silverton Saturday morning.

Image

We got to town, picked a camp spot and dropped the trailer so we could head to some more technical trails that the trailer couldn’t make it down (damn switchbacks on the side of cliffs).

Black Bear Pass was lots of fun, a good chance to test the GX out a bit.

Unfortunately Imogene Pass was close due to the early September snow, so needing to find a path back to camp, we opted for Ophir Pass, where the wife (after some light Vodka inspiration) decided to drive and did awesome.

Made it back to camp Saturday night, off CR20 just north of Silverton.

Slept and woke early Sunday for a 7.3 mile hike up to Ice Lake...man am I still hurting today, Tuesday night.

We rewarded ourselves with a hotel and hot springs in Ouray Sunday might and drove back Monday. All in all, a great one year anniversary trip and celebration of not getting divorced yet.

Cheers!

Wow is right! Those photos make me think about buying a small trailer and building an off-road rig to take to Colorado. Awesome!

Thanks fellas. We’re really enjoying the trailer, which I was able to build in part because of all the great wisdom here.

We are trying our hand at an instagram account for showing off and recording some of our weekend adventures, feel free to follow and say hey if you’re on there. @weekend_bound

Cheers!

How tall is your rear door opening after the chop? You mentioned removing 8 inches

How is the original axle holding up?

Well gents and gals, I have some recent awesome news, the wife and I are expecting our first child!

Along with that news is the realization that the camping trailer will need to go. It’ll likely be a while before we go camping as a family (babies can’t go to ultra high altitude) and I’d rather it not just sit, as well as the wife’s request for a slightly larger RV with a bathroom, water, etc. for the pending new needs.

I recently ordered the solar setup and need to touch up a few things then it’ll officially be for sale. If anyone’s interested, feel free to message me for my cell number or reply here and we’ll talk in more detail.

Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Included: Everything you’d expect, aka anything currently mounted in the most recent pictures, like awning, front landing accessories if wanted, lock-n-roll hitch for trailer and vehicle, bed if wanted and any spare parts I have. I’ll install the solar panel and controller and clean it up nicely.

Title: clear Colorado title in hand

Price: $12,000 OBO willing to negotiate for a smooth deal

Let me know your thoughts and if you have any interest. Just took it down to New Mexico a few weeks ago, she’s serviced and ready to go for the season!

Cheers!
Jake
