Water pump recommendations.

I’m in need of some tried and true help on the right water pump for me. I need a water pump that is reasonable to feed a sink and also to supply enough pressure/volume for a water hose. I want to be able to spray loose sand and debris off of my scuba gear before packing it back up.

Seaflo 12V 100PSI Self-priming Diaphragm Pump https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0166UBJX4/re ... XAbNBFV9ES

This is what I currently have. It does great if I was using it just for a sink. My biggest requirement is for a short (25’) water hose.

firemansd19, Howdy;

Just did a quick google for RV pumps and found this one,

Hope this might fill your bill ...

I would go with a high GPM over high PSI to just spray sand and stuff off. You didn't say what your fresh water source is? If a storage tank how big? 15 gallon tank with a 3 GPM pump = 5 minutes till empty.

Hard to go wrong with a Sureflo.

I added a 22 gallon tank and this Sureflo. Runs on 12v and pushes about 3 gallons a minute. I plan on using it for showers and washing but not drinking because it not rated for potable water.Image

Having worked with food trailers and clean up of equipment I suggest you carry a 5 gallon hand pump sprayer and use that to wash down your equipment. I don't think the battery operated pumps will give you the right pressure.

Unfortunately my tank right now is only about 10 gallons. My first tank (16 gallon) sprung a leak. I will only be using it in short burst when I spray stuff off. I was kinda thinking towards the higher volume also, maybe 3-5 gpm. That will be my next investment.

I use a shurflow. With a garden spray nozzle it’s about like home.

What is the gpm and pressure rating on it?

SHURFLO® REVOLUTION™ Pump 12 VDC 3.0 GPM

Flow Rate GPM/LPM
3.0 GPM [11.4 LPM]

Amps (Max.)
7.5

Shut-Off Pressure
55 PSI [3.1 BAR]

Looks like you should have up to 55 lbs before the pump shuts off.
