Yes. I used (4) 3/8” self tappers. I did predrill the brackets and the frame. I could’ve welded them on but I wanted to be able to take them off down the road if needed. Used the same type of screws when I had the scissor jacks and had zero issues.

4 screws per jack bracket? i want to be able to remove the brackets too, nice and simple, i like it :thumbsup:

Yes (4) per jack. Probably over kill but I had four screws so that's what I went with.

Ceiling talk. Thinking I’ll go with FRP to finish out the ceiling. Easy to clean. Don’t have to worry about moisture issues. Easy. To install.

dusty, Howdy;

Works very good. I could take a few showers in that time.
Sea-duty showers that is. Kept waitin' for a bathin' beauty to jump
into the shot ... oh, well, gotta keep it family friendly eh? chuckle.

It’s the large 8x8 ARB. When I bought it the 270 degree batwing styles were having some issues. Sounds like they may have worked the kinks out. Also they were super spendy. Price has come down on them as there’s multiple makers now too.

I would’ve done a batwing style and had it wrap around the back. I’m contemplating doing it now and moving the ARB to the other side. Shades a good thing! Not to mention it keeps the heat off the sides and keeps the trailer cooler.

Should mention I can set up and put the awning away by myself, but I have to use a short step ladder. I can’t reach the storage bag from the ground. Only takes about 5 minutes. I have used it in winds up to 25mph, and never had an issue. I always stake it down with ropes and proper stakes for the ground I’m in.

Yeah we had some good ones coming through all Saturday. Dropping off the eastern edge of the Cascades coming down the valley can do that.

We head out again on Tuesday for a week in the woods. Forest Service just announced that they are shutting down Campfires. Which also includes the use of briquettes and wood fueled cookers. Back to white gas and propane.
SoloStove fire pit will have to stay home.

Dust-swabby, Howdy;

Kinda used to the no fire thing this time of year in these parts.
About the same up there ain't it?

Pretty much the norm. However they usually try and let it go until after the 4th. This year though there are so many people in the woods (its purely insane) that have never camped in their lives. Plus campgrounds were closed due to COVID up until a couple weeks ago.

Some of the forest districts in Oregon have already shut down campfires. People leaving them and not putting them out properly. They never used to close campgrounds to campfires but now they due on a case by case basis. They have already shut down some.

With the Covid camper/RV sales here are up almost 600%. Won't surprise me if the Government starts shutting down more areas for dispersed camping. People leaving trash, not putting out fires, not following fire safety. People that should really just stay home.

Did a bit of late spring cleaning. Since I bought the trailer I've wanted to switch the 4 pin to 7 pin. The RAV had seven pin, but the socket went bad. When I bought the trailer I didn't want to mess with it and was in a time crunch. So I did a hasty wire job and put a 4 pin on the RAV. Three years & 10,000 miles later I finally ordered the junction box for the trailer and a new socket for the RAV.
