Where did you source your fuel cell? Good looking set up and I plan o doing the exact same cheapo from Amazon/eBay and mounding under a cabinet in the front of the trailer

I really like my diesel heater and hope you will enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine. Just a couple of observations:

1. My understanding from reading the Chinese diesel heater forums is that, if intake combustion air is sucked from inside the trailer, rather than from the outside, a vacuum of negative pressure can be created inside the trailer. Then, if the heater ever malfunctions, exhaust gases can leak into the trailer. I think John McK also talks about this issue and explains the different ways the unit can malfunction. If you are not already familiar with John McK, below is the link to his multi part series. I highly recommend this series.

Some people place a removeable cover over the inlet pipe to keep out bugs and debris. Same with the exhaust.

2. Also, it is recommended that the fuel tank be mounted below the fuel pump. If the fuel pump malfunctions, fuel can then pour through the pump and flood the inside of the heater. Perhaps that issue could easily be solved by putting a shut off valve upstream, between the pump and the fuel tank.

I’m not worried about a negative vacuum. I always have a window open even in winter so the air supply won’t be depleted.

The fuel tank will be below the pump. It’s going on the floor. The draw will be from one of the lower ports.

Changed out the fill lid today and rigged up the supply line.

I’m plumbing the fill through the wall so I had to remove the lid and put a nipple on. I thought the screws would have been tapped into the top but they weren’t. There is a ring inside that the screws go into. Thankfully I have small hands. I was able to hold the ring and get one screw started. Then I used a pick through the screw holes to pull the ring up and attach another screw opposite. Did they same on the other side. There’s also a gasket that I had to keep in line. Worked out and got everything in place.

The tank has AN 10 fittings. Overkill for this but seems to be working out good. The vent I bought to put through the wall will work out good size wise. The nipple that came with the heater for the provided tank actually fits perfectly in the hose I bought for the vent.I used a small chunk to connect it to the AN nipple. Yes it’s fuel rated hose.

I’m waiting on my fuel hose for the fill to show up and the vent. Once I get all of that I will be able to put it all together and fire things up.

Still haven't wrapped up my tank install. But I am close. The vent I ordered traveled from Florida to Portland Oregon, then it went to Washington, California, back to Washington. Supposedly it made it back to Portland, and is now out for delivery. So much for Prime shipping...

As soon as I have that I can finish everything up and run the heater. Would've been nice on last weekends camp trip. Couple nights the temps got down to the 20's. Brrrrrrrr!

Good news is I got the heater wired up and no error codes!!!

Vent showed up today after it’s across country west coast trip.

Installed. Next trip is to the gas station to get some diesel! Then fire it up.

Checked all my installed fittings after last weekends 150+ mile washboard trip and they are all in place and still tight. Shouldn’t be any leaks.

Fired up the heater today.

No issues runs great!

Gave off some nasty exhaust at first. Not sure what they put in that engine but it was bad. Once it burnt off no visible exhaust at all. Running standard diesel.

Definitely going to heat up the 6x10 when it’s cold.
