Got all the plywood down, then the rains came... and man, do we need it.

I convinced my wife on the PVC diamond plate flooring in battle ship gray.
I won't know how stiff it is until I get it, but I'm thinking... If I leave it oversized enough, and then some, to fill the gap between the plywood floor and the skin, (between the studs.) it might act (well enough) as a seal for that gap.
I'd have to notch it around every stud, but after hole sawing around every screw/nail to remove the walls, it doesn't sound like that much of a chore.
I don't think my drawing is accurate as far as the framing goes, but you get the idea.
Any thoughts?

If your talking about the standard haze gray rubberized matting with the diamond plate
looking pattern you may want to re-think resting the wall boards on it. the gaps between
the diamonds will allow all you want to keep out in ... the makers of my trailer used some
Almond colored latex chalk to do what you're think about. Cleaned up nice with a light scuff
with some sandpaper when I discovered it when I was checking out the space behind my walls.
Only a suggestion.

I did not seal the gap, although taped up on the inside part . I wanted to make sure it could breathe a bit between the aluminum skin and insulation. As I understand it, it may sweat there some.

Yes, I'd make sure to seal well between the innermost wall skin (or the vapour barrier behind that) and the flooring, but you want to leave a bit of escape at the bottom of the outermost wall skin.

Like cars have drip holes, you don't want to block condensate from escaping &drying out next time it gets hot. Of course not so concerned here about rust, but still

Friday Update:
I've got this thing about as taken apart as I'm gonna go with it...



The only other things are the ramp and side door to insulate them.
Anybody know off the top of your head, what size Torx bit fits the hinge bolts? Looks like a 50 or 60.
Speaking of Torx... I've had to remove several screws that are somewhere in between a 15 and a 20. What the heck?
I ended up cutting slot in them with a die grinder and using a flat screw driver. The reassembly will be done with phillips or square drives.

All my electric is exposed now, and it ain't all pretty.
Here's the rat's nest in the box under the lock-out battery.
I think I'll install an access hatch in the floor over it for easy trouble shooting and maintenance. It will be out of the way in my little toilet room.



Here's the main bundle for the running lights, on it's way up to the roof. I don't know who came up with this design.
A length of plastic tubing over the wires as it goes through here will give them some protection.



I'm going to coat the underside of my floor panels with polyurethane as soon as we get some dry weather. Then screw them back down with construction adhesive so the don't creak.
I'm getting really close to changing directions on this project... Building instead of disassembling.

The refrigerator I ordered came... I really like it!
I've been following it's return trip to Kentucky on UPS tracking. It arrived there today.
Please, PLEASE! just send me a replacement without any hassles.

I don’t know what size torx bits, I ended up stripping one or two out and had to extract them hah

Now to the fun part!

Rough plumbing, for sure. I'll only have gray water from two sinks. So I'm thinking a portable holding tank will do... When we're not able to just let it run out on the ground.
We're planning on relying on park facilities, with just enough in the trailer so that we don't have to leave it during the night. It probably wouldn't hurt to have a pop-up shower on hand in case we need it.

It's also time to plan for awning attachment to the trailer. I found that it would have been easier and cleaner have I did that while the inside walls were still exposed.

Nope. But there are a few of those in a couple places.
Most of the screws look just like a Torx, but are an odd size.

That's mind boggling ! I might be wrong about it not being a Robertson. I was thinking of something else.
I'll bet the guys in the shop at the trailer dealership could tell me.

I didn't get by the dealership, but I counted the number of points in comparison to a Torx.........
