Started the cabinetsImage

Next will come the plumbing and shower build. Anyone care to share how big you built your shower? I’m limited to max 30x30 but smaller the better. I plan on putting a travel toilet inside the shower for privacy and move it out when showering. I’ve seen some small RV shower pans on the Internet, I want to say the smallest I saw was a 27 x 24. That might work ?

I did notice something you said about the batteries (Walmart deep cycle group 29 battery and one 100 amp hour auto battery ).... maybe not a good idea to tie those together if that is the intention.

Oh and flboy, I went ahead and replaced the car battery with another new deep cycle like you suggested and I’m already noticing a huge difference in my capacity. That battery was definitely pulling my other one down. Thanks

The trailer is looking nice. I really like the rustic look. We haven't installed our shower yet, but we have budgeted space for a 32x32 shower. I know that is a couple of inches larger than you are planning for... you might want test out that space "constriction" before committing to it.

I should probably just keep my mouth shut, but since you asked the question. I absolutely love my big 36"x36" shower.

Haha yeah that’s way too big. I think I could fit one of the 32x32 corner ones though.

Thin walls allowed us the use of a 36x36. http://httpswww.tnttt.com/viewtopic.php ... +#p1194017

Joel, the trailer is looking great! Glad I was able to help with the battery suggestion.

On the shower, you thinking to have it walled in , or a semi-permanent one with a shower pan and hoop type curtain? Lots of good stuff out there. I built a full up bathroom for the Mrs. In my CTC., but you can do alot with a "wet-batbroom/closet" concept, or a portable where the floorspace is not permanently taken up by the shower. Not alot of privacy in the CTC, but works when no facilities available.

I have a 24"*24" shower pan, but I built it into an angled area to give a 32" opening. Used FRP panels to dry it all in. You could build a 24*24 shower pan with a small deck for the porta-potty to sit on, and dry it all in with FRP. They deck would give you elbow room.

One way to save some floorspace, but have elbow room in the shower. If I had squared that up with a 32*32, all that would have come from the kitchen and entry area. Floorspace is a premium. You could do something like that and square it up for the Porta-potty deck and just have a sliding accordian door at one end for privacy and shower curtain. Those accordian doors like I used for the bathroom door are made from PVC type plastic. In this case you woul have a 32*24in closet with a accordian door opening, pedestal in back, pan going in an shower head on either 32' wall. Just an idea.

Here are a few pics for thoughts on a shower pan. The bathroom was in construction in these photos and trim was not installed and etc. I hope this help get the creative juices flowing.

Here is a link to my thread where I started the bathroom after framing in. You can go back some to see framing too..

Yeah I’m going to frame something in. Thanks for the ideas. I gotta measure again and see what I can fit I guess.

Hey Joel,
I installed a "wet bath" in my 6x12 like you would find in a truck camper. It is a toilet/shower combo. 30 x 30 I believe. Triton 5l on demand LP water heater. Vent/fan/light combo. 25 gal fresh tank 29 gal black. No grey. If you keep them short (navy showers) maybe 8-10 per fresh tank + flushes. I also put a diverter valve in to drain showers to ground when acceptable. Black tank lasts a long time when flushes only.
Consider weight and balance when placing tanks. 25 gal=200 lbs

Interesting idea. I’m trying to avoid any grey or black tanks because I don’t think I would use it enough. I will mostly be using this to stay at places that have facilities/sewer hookup or it’s acceptable to drain to the ground.

You were talking about propane tank mounts on Haders page and I didnt want to hijack his page, but thought you might get some ideas from my confabulation.
I did a search on "propane tank mounts" and there are not a lot of mounting options out there for hanging a 20 pounder. But I did find these two, I especially liked this one: Haha

With a heavier backing plate running the whole length, I think this one would attach to your frame rail and possibly work.

Your pic and original comment so others know what we are talking about and to chime in.

On yours, I invision 2 bars attached to the bottom of both frame rails extending out the drivers side and forming a base for a mount.

i found the milk crate works great for 20lb tanks plus it holds a 10 liter gas can or propane bottles, wood blocking, scissor jack etc.

This central Florida weather has been terrible but I’ve managed to install an exterior above door light, a track for the solar panel wires to run through since I didn’t feed them through my roof, installed the sink, and added neodymium magnet catches to hold the cabinet doors shut. They work so well, the magnetic catches at HD were junk. ImageImageImageImage

All looks great. I am with you on the rain. This is crazy. Ready to put pontoons on the CTC.

I was getting in my truck Friday for work and the swale out front which stays dry except in the very wet part of the year ( late summer) had ducks in it! Tadpoles have hatched out this weekend. I got nothing done outdoors. Worked on the motorcycles in the garage some.

Stay dry!
