NotJammer, Howdy;

That's a nice unit. :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

What's the cycle rate, about 10-15 minutes on then 15 -20 off?
What am I thinkin' that what I get with mine in a 30' 5th wheel...
you prolly get 5-10 on and 20-30 off?

Is your heater cycling on and off or set for 50 deg.? That seems like an awful long time for 24 deg. rise. 1200 w is about 5000 BTU. You should be seeing better performance unless there is a lot of air being exchanged, i.e. big leaks somewhere and windy conditions. Maybe the heater is reaching its high limit and cycling off?
Just my thoughts.

Not done yet and I am now mostly a temperate climate camper.

In my youth until I was 50, I camped very light, on a motorcycle, 40 states and Canada. Often with no tent. Rode in winter and snow. As a kid my family winter 'camped' in a DIY Northern Minnesota cabin with a crappy fireplace far from any bed. Double Outhouse was very cold. My father said wood heats twice, once when you chop it and then in the fire.

Any heater will be for big temp drops. Now I try to stay warm at all times. Old slow blood.

Electric blanket also works.
