I would like to convert my 5x10 utility trailer to a covered trailer. I am not real good with wood but i am handy with metal(welding). I realize steel is heavier than wood but if I use 1x1 angle I think I will be ok on weight. My question is will 1x1 angle be strong enough, after it is skinned, to hold op to 60-65 mph driving. Anyone with experiance using steel to frame. Thanks
Cost wise it may be cheaper to sell the flatbed and get a cargo. 80% of the work is already done. Weight wise also. My neighbor is thinking the same thing about his flatbed which is heavily abused.
