Made the support arm for the under-bed storage.
Also tried a few different containers for the left storage box.
I may just use Luann and box it in.

Took advantage of some un-used space and made a slide out countertop extension.
There was a inch gap under the top.
More urethane drying tonight.

Installed a temp gauge up by the medicine cabinet.

All urethane'd up.
Put some wall carpet underneath to add a bit of friction to keep from sliding out during travel.

Now I just need a overhead cabinet. If only IKEA would just open up. Image

Don’t let our little secret out about IKEA. I’m waiting for it to open too. Ha!

New upper cabinets installed.
Even put another coat of urethane on the countertops.

Had the tripod on there to test for filming extreme weather and timelapse's.

I like IKEA's but sometimes those cabinets can weigh a little more than what I'd like them to weight. All that additional weight takes away from my motorcycle, tools, suits, helmets, and everything else I bring to the track.

I like the the way that all looks. Thanks for the idea's!

I picked these specifically for the weight.
They were lighter than the wood cabinets.
Most of IKEA is MFD board and is heavy.
These are the 9-3/4" metal office type cabinets. Lockers area.

Been trying to build as lightweight as possible. Sometimes possible, but I designed the floor plan to have all the heavy stuff is over the axle .

The IKEA employees must of thought I was nuts. Me grabbing cabinets and checking how heavy they were.

Took a tip from ol' (Slim potatohead) .
Tried getting some plastic 1/4 turn fasteners to keep the cabinet doors closed during travel.
All I could find was these galvanized units.
These were terrible, screw came loose when turned.

Made my own using 2 plastic washers and the brackets that came with the cabinets.
They hold great and dont loosen up.
Also installed a handle on the under bed drawer.

Max got to lay down in his favorite spot.
Hard to get him out of there.

Funny I had two cupboard doors in my in bed camper that wouldn't stay closed. Never would think about it until I got to camp after bouncing through the dirt for 100 miles and all the contents were all over. One time that happened I had my work tools with me. Found two small branches that I whittled a bit on and drilled holes. Made te sawme thing. Little swing latch. Were still there when I sold the camper. worked great.

great idea! those won't come open now.

Just curious about the cabinets being offset an inch or so. Was that on purpose or was there something in the way?

We off-set them on purpose. It just looked better and just enough of space to put my hat now .

I was thinking of mounting my fishing pole somewhere there and have the cabinets hold up the end.

They come in 13" also.

Made a skirt for the bed on the man door side and stapled a loop strap at the rear .

Added up all the build receipts. Take a wild guess.
Called up my insurance agent and having them do their thing. Should be sorted out tomorrow.
