You need one of these tables for the portaband. https://www.swagoffroad.com/SWAG-Portab ... _c_35.html

I have used my HF portaband with SWAG table to fab lots of stuff.

That right there is a good idea!!

I picked up my older saw and set about rebuilding it. Until I opened it realized everything was in perfect order just needed some paint

Thanks for the link. I was searching for something like that!

You can use two large clamps to clamp the portaband table to a work bench or welding table to keep it put. Can also clamp it to the tubes of a trailer tongue to help make repairs in the field.

flboy,

Have you tested your WZRELB 1500W Pure Sine Inverter with your oscillator to see how clean the output wave is under load? I have been watching youtube reviews of "pure" sine wave inverters and notice that some have dirty output.

I am assuming you meant oscilloscope... but no. When I install it in the new CTC, I will check it out. I do get Electromagnetic Noise (EMI) from it regardless of load. You notice that on the HF Radio audio and can see it on the panoramic display. . But that is not surprising. I just turn it off when using the HF radio. Just about all of them but the most expensive will create some EMI.

"oscilloscope", yes.

The specs for that inverter say 1.5A no load draw. Do you think that it actually draws that much no load current?

I am looking to buy another pure sine wave inverter, maybe about 1000 to 1500 watts. My Renogy 700 watt actually draws about .5 amps no load. The specs for the Renogy 1000 watt also say about .5 amps no load draw.

The one I have draws about .5A in standby.

My 280ah LiFePo4 batteries have arrived! 11 weeks it took... but hopefully worth the wait. I already have the 150a Bluetooth BMS, so I will build the bank this week.

So far so good. The cells all appear to be close to fully charged and all read 3.32 vdc exactly. They look to be in perfect shape. I hooked up the lab Power Supply to top balance them, and the are only drawing 3.55A.

Assuming they are done balancing by tomorrow, I will build these up. I ordered a Group 27 Marine battery box to put these in with the BMS. Based on measurements, they should fit. Hard to believe 280aH usable in a Group 27 size.

https://www.gudgeonblog.ca/lifepo4-batteries-part-four-top-balancing-pack/

I had to re-balance one of my batteries because I didn't repeat the charge to 3.65V (I think)...
