Isn't that nice! Not sure where everyone is at, but I am fine with having the place to myself. I am leaving tomorrow AM. The weekend warriors will start coming in later tomorrow.

It is starting to warm up here. Almost summer like. A few hours of riding offroad in this heat puts the hurt on me!

Lex is even taking it easy at high noon! Sharing a few pics below. ImageImageImage

Thanks. I had a fixed table there that was in the way all the time. I sawed off the leg and used it to attach this swivel table. I could not attach it to the wall for various reasons so this worked out the best. It pops right out when I need to put the bike in and swings away when the bed is deployed. It really is perfect for this small space.

Lexus is always looking for a good time. Obviously wants me to throw the Frisbee some.

Hi Hank, no I hadn't seen it but will check it out. Thanks. Lexus is a good camping companion. She runs security and cleaning up leftovers.

It has been a while and so I am getting the 6x12 CTC ready for the camping season and my trip out West to the RTR in January. Going to spend about 6 weeks drifting around the desert southwest while it's not too hot!

I any case, I am making some improvements and also making it so the CTC will sleep 2 reasonably comfortable when my wife occasionally joins me on my adventures.

Out with the convertible couch. It was never that comfortable and was wider than needed for one person, but not wide enough for two.

Image

I removed the RV couch and modified the platform so I can lift it up for underneath storage and also to properly mount the swing table which can also now stay in when the bike comes in.

Image

Image

These will sit on the platform for seating and then become bed mattresses at night. One will go on the floor. I will only bring one when going solo and take two only as needed.

Image

I expect the folding mattresses on Monday 11/27 so I will update with a final pic when I receive them.

This should give me more comfortable seating and sleeping with increased open floor space and a second accommodation for seating and sleeping when my wife joins me. I am confident I will be on the floor with Lex! It is a 6 inch mattress, so should still be comfortable.

Beds are in. I have one in now with Lexus's bed also on the platform. Her bed goes on floor at night and the chair then unfolds to a 6 inch memory foam single bed or a chaise lounge when I am watching TV. I will bring the spare chair/matress for another seat and an additional bed when my wife comes with me occasionally. Lex just gives up her day spot as needed. In reality, she spends most of her time outside anyhow as do we.

Lex's bed on the platform during the day is huge because she is a big dog and I am always tripping over her or she's trying to get out of my way and etc.. Now she has her own spot.

Image

I had a spare 32inch LCD TV and Fire Stick I wasn't using, so I filled in the space on side wall. It works great with a portable antenna and will also be able to stream content when I have good Internet.

Its those tweaks you make after using it a bit that really make a difference.

The new bed and arrangement for Lex worked great last night. Glad I did it. So much nicer now.

At my campsite. I had to put up the high gain yagi for the cell phone booster. I was getting nothing for signal.. now I can actually stream Netflix. Gotta love that!

Another nice looking evening. Just simply love to go camping. CTC adds some comforts of home. The older I get, the more I appreciate them.

Looks like fun.
How do those black fenders and diamond plate hold up to gravel/rock chips ?
