Paul, very nice.. well, except for the cold, scratches and no fender thing/g/..

Anyway, I think you may have passed by (but not visited), one of my most favorite telegraph station in the world at Eucla, second only to Alice Springs..

Arne, we not only stopped there, we also walked out to the old Jetty(wharf) that's there also.
We have pics of the old Overland Telegraph stations at Eucla, Eyre, Balladonia and Israelite Bay. If you'd like to see them I can probably post them here for you.

 Paul,

Well, I really like what I've seen so far........ but lets see the rest. :D

What kind of temperatures were you guys camping in? Looks cold and wet. Were you prepared for that?

Did you see any wildlife? In that one picture, it looked like the road
(track) kind of went away, no wonder it was a mite confusing in places.

Would love to see them.. actually, if you could also email them to me, I have some friends who are Nevil Shute fans (he wrote On the Beach)... and they might put them up on the Nevil Shute web site..

Nevil Shute lived in Langwarren, near Melbourne, and had a heart attack and died at his typewriter while writing his never completed novel "Incident at Eucla".....

Hi Joanne, If you ever get the chance to come down here, I promise you will have a guide to show you the remote sites.
The trip was an absolute ball. We got lost, sunburnt and wet all in a 16 day period.

Paul, As usual your trip as well as the others make me jealous. What a great trip and pic's. You can truly enjoy unspoiled wilderness there and true adventure. So it is spring there now. right?
When I was in high school I dated an exchange student from Sydney. She would always try to explain how it was in her country. You bring it all to life.
I'm going to have to get down there.
Australia and New Zealand are two places I have always wanted to visit.
