Del's trip to florida, third week of june.

...the place to share tales of your travels and pics of your adventures...

del, I started recruiting for a campout on the 19th. Woodyperk says he can come by for a visit, but can't spend the night. We'll see who else can make it.

I need a June campout to fulfill my goal to camp out every month in 2010, so this works for me. I need to look for campsites tomorrow, and see what we can get.

If there's any issues with sites, Cedar Hill State Park is on the other side of the lake. I honestly don't know what volume is when the season is full on.

Loyd Park is $10 to enter, and $18 to camp, and Cedar Hill is $5 to enter, and $20 to camp, so just a couple o bucks different.

I read Cedar Hill is a little stricter on the rules such as quiet time and how many cars you can park at a site, but that can be a benefit if you are wanting peace, a teardrop gathering can get loud depending on who is there.

Both parks are nice and both are right off the freeway. I don't know if I'll be able to go, but I'll keep my eye on the thread, I am going to a couple of concerts this month which is taking some fundage.

Planned stops;
Bryce canyon, utah
Grand canyon
Meteor crater
Roswell, new mexico
Lake Bisteneau, LA
And any stops along the way (suggestions please).

I am making this trip with my Mom so will not be in hurry. My schedule is flexible, so if anyone has a favourite campground they want to join me at, I can bump it a day or two either way.

Thanks in advance
del

Hi, I live close to Bryce Canyon. I could join you all. I will mention camping at Bryce Canyon is, well, how do I say it nicely, very crowded. I would suggest a few miles down the road to Red Canyon campground. I just spent a week there end of May. It is one of the cleanest campgrounds I have been in. Showers that are clean as a whistle. Bathrooms are great.
Check out my video of the campground – http://www.southernutahtravel.biz/videos.html. Upper right corner is the new video. Red Canyon can be your base camp, then go to Bryce and have a great time. I am going to be on top of Cedar Mountain (Duck Creek campground) late this week for a few days. Let me know your schedule. I have the time. If you have the senior Nat. Parks pass it costs only $ 7.50 per night.
How does wed the 15 of june sound? I have not been to this area so directions would be helpful.

If people are wondering where all the pics I took on the trip are, well I loaded them on to my computer last night. Who knows I may upload them tonight or tomorrow. Here is one.

So, show us the pictures -- especially any embarrassing pictures of Thomas.

But, any pictures of me should reflect my class and dignity, of course. 8)
