First trip - 3422 miles!

Postby NutmegJoe » Tue May 22, 2007 11:07 pm

Well, I finished my tear the last week of April and headed off to Shasta for the Dam Gathering!!! What a blast. :applause: :D The tear towed awesome and I met tons of great people. I finally downloaded some pictures and I wanted to share what a great time I had and thank everyone I met for such a great first gathering experience!! ...Grant & Lisa, Dean & Joanie, Pam, George, Doug, Ross, Dean, Sue, Lee, Martha, Gage, Bruce, Lydia, Ken, Guy, Dan, Kevin, Lane and the 5 Widers, and anyone else I'm forgetting...

My trip was from Colorado Springs to Ogden, UT to Shasta, CA to San Diego, CA to Hanksville, UT and back home again for a total of 15 nights!

First night in the tear in Wyoming with Pam

Everyone thought I was crazy to bring my cats to Shasta...but, they seemed to do ok...Here's Ruby relaxing in the sun.

My first night camping on my own at the San Luis Reservoir.

I also wanted to thank Pam for being such an awesome traveling companion and I can't wait to do it again...

See you all in Minden!

Shelly, I'm glad you had such a great first trip. It was nice to meet you, Pam and George down in the Colorado section.

Hi Shelly,

It was nice to see you in Hanksville. You and Pam both have great trailers and sounds like you had a fun time on your travels. I'm envious that you are going to make it out to Minden and I'm staying home.

I'm quite upset though that you are an enabler for Deans cast iron addition! We should be trying to counsel him, not encourage his obsession! I'm sure he appreciated you bringing him his new "baby".

See you down the road,
Joanne
