Joan was the maid of honor and I was the best man at her twin brother's wedding in Salyer, CA yesterday.
This morning we picked her cherries before the birds got 'em... 38 baskets.

Hey Dean,

I just got through eating a small bowl of overpriced cherries down here in Vegas. They weren't Reineer cherries though cause for those you have to bring the armored car to pay for 'em...

Living in fabulous Las Vegas isn't always so fabulous.

Joanne

Oh, Rocky and Mel are here in Vegas. We're planning on getting together later if they get done with their dinner early enough.

Welp...
Maybe you gotta hit the jackpot to have good cherries there, but at least everyone from the forum stops to visit you when they're in town.
Now if only I could interest TDN in a Nascar Cup Race in Vegas, I'd be able to stop by too!!!
Please say Hi to The Rock and Mel for me!
Tell Rocky I've discovered cast iron waffle irons.

It looks like I'm not going to get to meet up with them tonight. Their dinner starts a little later than they expected and I turn into a pumpkin around 10:00pm so we are going to try to get together on another visit.

I used to attend the Cup race here in Vegas and it was a lot of fun. I lost the start/finish line tickets I had when Bruton Smith took over. :x If you every decide to do it, I know the perfect tailgate party trailer to take out there... Here's a hint...

I wish I had a tear the last time I went to the cup race there. It took 4 hours on the city bus to get there from the MGM. That was the last time I tried to go to that race. :x

Got home this afternoon and crashed as soon as I hit the door. It was an early flight out of Vegas so we had to get up at 4:00AM One thing I found out during this trip, IT IS LIGHT OUT AT 5:00AM THERE! How screwed up is that!

We didn't leave the restaurant till almost 9:00 so it was a good thing that I was able to get a hold of you beforehand. They just kept bringing all that skewered meat to the table. We played at one of the little places on the strip and I successfully won back the oney I had lost earlier that weekend. I actually came home with twice as much as I left with. Now I can pay for my gas to Minden.

I saw the title of this thread and thought about Pam's Cherry Drop.

8) Yes, the Cherry Fairy was very good to us this year.

But, off topic, the picture shows the paper plate holder (pop out) in the corner that was in another thread.

Back on, there will not be fresh cherries on the trees by mid-summer, and I told Dean just eat 'em , rather than freeze 'em. Yes, EAT DESSERT FIRST!

Hey Rocky!

I turn into a pumpkin sometime between 9:00 and 10:00. I wish we could have worked it out, but there is always next time. It sounds like the restaurant was good though. Great news that you won back your money! Now you can drop that money into a machine that you know pays out....in gasoline.
