Ferry ride

I rode this ferry on the way to Maine from FCP. bommer told me about this. One of the many high points of my trip. Fort Ticonderoga Ferry. I think every TD needs a ride once in a while.

Great. that is a nice area up there..

.. I cross the Connecticut River on the ferry near my home all summer long (it is open from May to end of Oct)... last time, while coming back from the Poconos... I like the ferry, allows me to avoid both alternative routes, which are always congested...

Got off the ferry, and 1.5 miles later was in the driveway.. I'll try to get a pic next time.... Ours is a 3 car barge with a small tug boat...
