Some late pictures from camping at Penrose Point on Puget Sound, Washington in August, 2009. There were about 18 Bernese Mountain dogs there. Mine was the only one with a teardrop as you can see.

Spike in his teardrop, once again.

One of the guys that has a motor home, but was renting it out to pay for it and who was camping in a tent this year, built a camp kitchen box. It was very nice but huge. I told him he could build a teardrop around it!

It sure is nice not having to set up a tent now that I have the teardrop - love it!

Great pics! Spike may be the only teardropper who has his photo on a pillow.

I'd need a crane to move that chuckbox!

Great looking dog you have there! The statement about the owner of the motor home is the only thing that overshadowed Spikes cuteness for me. I commend this guy for making the necessary sacrifice of renting out his motor home in order to pay for it (rather than repossession) while still attending this annual fun event (even in a tent). But mostly I'm glad you were there to show him a knockout, teardrop alternative to the whole big RV motor home thing. I am certain he had an "aha moment" and might even begin building "the rest" of his teardrop to go around his camp kitchen box!

The teardrop experience preaches its own message by example for anyone that sees it and it wins campers hearts all the time. I'm glad he saw your wonderful teardrop experience! :applause:

Nice pics! I especially like the Dog pic. Spike looks like a teddy bear but I'll bet he's good protection! :applause:

Interesting camp box; but, like you said, probably a bit on the big side. The box looks so tall and skinny in the picture that I'm surprised it doesn't fall over in a hard wind!

Thanks for the comments everybody.

That guy's camp box is not narrow by any means. Those are doors on the sides that close and it's probably about 2-1/2 feet deep at least. The other guys were giving him a bad time when they had to help him move it  Very nice workmanship though.

Everybody at the camp out liked the teardrop and thought it was pretty cool - of course most of them are couples and have more than one big dog so space wise it might not work for them.
