Kring Point State Park

Hi:

I just got back from a short weekend trip to Kring Point State Park in Alexandria Bay NY. The campground is on a rocky point sticking out into the St-Lawrence River. I try to make at least one visit here once a year.

It was an absolutely beautiful weekend in probably my favourite park in the Thousand Islands. It was me, my dogs and a friend. I didn't take to to many photos this weekend. I was too busy relaxing, but I did get some shots of my trailer.







I got as many shots of my XM radio as the trailer....I do love the music.

That's a relaxing looking place.

The rocks and incline make me homesick. I haven't seen a rock or a real hill in 3 years.

Hmm according to the sciencey display by the War of 1812 sign. the area is part of the Frontenac Arch, which links the Adirondacks to the Canadian Shield.

There's so much rock there, I think I saw one of the Flintstone's.
