I'm really envious of you all. I've always wanted to attend the Carnation thing....It really looks like a great time. Doug

We had fireworks of the nature variety in Kuai.

It was really nice to sit out on the cliff with a bit of wine each evening in 80 degree weather and watch Mother Nature do her best. We really did not want to return to 100 degree plus nasty heat at home.

Like Jeremy, I also went to the final 4th of July Teardrop Trailer Fun in Carnation, WA. I took 130 pictures, which you can view at http://www.blogicalthoughts.com/?p=2782

The final two pictures were actually taken here in Hayden Lake. They are of my new tow vehicle and the trailer.

I just hope it will be ready for the next long teardrop trip, which is to Summer Daze.

Mike,

Nice tow rig
I hope you can bring it to the Summer Daze.
I am still working on my tow rig. It may take another year befrore I feel comfortable taking it on any outings.

I checked out your pictures of Carnation and they were great.

Doug, I'll send you a copy of some videos and stills I took of the last 4Th Carnation gathering. Your Comet is in it.
The video is not like being there but it's better than not being there. Jane & I had a great time.
We had just returned from Yosemite a couple days earlier and the run off was more than I've ever seen and I've been camping in Yosemite since the 1950's.
Check out Vernal Falls. Those specks to the right of the top are people. We went up the mule trail and down the mist trail.
It was like a sideways driving rain, got thoroughly soaked. :D Danny

We played in the dunes, in the lake, at the beach and in the pool.
We had a blast!

It is a Kamp-Rite Tent-cot. I welded up a roof rack, took the legs off the tent-cot and mounted it to the rack.

Brad,

Where did you go? Were these pics taken at the Sleeping Bear Dunes in Michigan? I'm just curious.
