All of the hinges are old piano hinges. To waterproof them I used a self sticking mastic normally used for windows and doors in house construction. It is the kind of self sealing stuff that you can nail or screw through and it will remain water tight. Keep in mind that the siding and roofing are not structural on this trailer, just there for the cosmetic effect.
