First trip in the new Teardrop AND new tow vehicle!

Postby wired » Sat Jun 23, 2012 12:31 pm

Well, my wife and I took our first trip in the new Outback and the new Teardrop (AKA "Honeymooner"). We went to Yosemite for 5 days. The Outback performed admirably towing the Teardrop - even though it is the 4 cylinder model. The 4 cyl Outback is rated to tow up to 2700 pounds - which was a huge factor in my deciding to buy one. Needless to say I was very impressed with the vehicle and am loving it more every day. The Honeymooner towed and tracked really well, and for those of you that have been to Yosemite you know there are a lot of narrow, steep switchback roads getting into the valley and out. Weather was a bit warm (mid to high 80's) for mid day hikes on the upper granite trails, but our campsite was right on the Merced river and that river felt mighty good after those long, hot hikes...

Have another trip planned in July - this time to Burney Falls State Park....
