We rented a boat and went out to Egmont Key Ft DeSoto looked interesting from the water. Once I get my teardrop here I want to camp out there. Camped at Talbot Island near Jax and we had the same problem, really cold and windy near the water, but nice in the trees.

The North Beach welcomes visitors.

Baby Owls at North Beach. This nest was in the same tree as the previous year, located adjacent to the parking lot.

We caught the start of the Everglades Challenge. Kayaks and small boats heading for Key Largo. The early finishers do it in 3-4 days.

This year we chose an inland campsite to avoid the wind. However, we did miss the beautiful water views we had last year.
