1st road trip in newly built Vardo

Postby stonykill » Sun Jul 28, 2013 1:40 pm

Took most of the month of July and built my wife and I a Vardo. The build thread is in my sig. We live 35 miles SE of Albany NY and took the Vardo on it's maiden voyage 2.5 hours from home to Gilbert Lake State Park in Lauren NY. Pretty nice state park.
We saw 2 teardrops on the trip. One stayed in the park we did. The other we saw on the highway only 7 miles from our home on the way back.

A few pics...ok quite a few pics.

here a few minutes and disconnected and leveled.

No….. you ate your chickens ! ! !

ha haha just kidding. I just read your complete build log tonight very nice. It looks great out there camping. Plenty of room in side.

Some one in your build log ask about a Murphy Bed. Some one is build a Vardo with a Murphy bed in the very back and bench seats and table under it. would be easy to make a Bench / bed combo in your trailer. Kinda like a Futon. Be nice to just set in there on a rainy day of camping. :)

Wow you starting another one as well.

we do eat our chickens. :D . The Roosters anyway. There is plenty of room inside the Vardo without a murphy bed for 2 people to spend the day out of the rain if need be

Great Job! You should enjoy camping in such a nice trailer. Have fun finishing the interior! :applause:
