Chasing early airmail beacon sites in Nevada.

Postby teamredjeep » Tue May 27, 2014 6:54 am

We were suspose to have our teardrop for this trip but it won't be done a few weeks. We hitched up our Jeep trailer and had a blast doing about 500 mile trip with at least 200 miles off road. We also did some geocaching while chasing airmail beacon sites. http://www.mikestoller.com/Off-Road-Adventure/Nevada-Air-Mail/

Looks like my part of the country. Were you around Lovelock?

Great pic's, went through all of your albums and enjoyed the desert scenery and the pic's of old buildings and mines. I see you are into the geocaching...that seems like it would be fun and adventurous to say the least. Thanks for sharing Mike.

We have done the Loneliest Highway 50 in our motorhome checking out various sites in the Great Basin. But what we have seen from the main highway probably has not even begun to scratched the surface of what we can see in a off road TD. Many years of exploring to come. :D
