Another quick camping trip at Crystal Lake, CA

Postby sealbeachbum » Sun Jul 27, 2014 2:21 pm

Crystal Lake is our favorite "go to" camping spot for a quick get away. It's only 1.5 hrs away from our home in Huntington beach. We practicaly had the whole campground to ourselves, except for the bear that payed us a visit an hour after we got there! We were still setting up camp and it totally caught us off guard!

Love to see pictures of people camping. Looks like you had a great time. First sight of bear would have sent me packing

Having a bear so near the camp would have had me feeling nervous and I wouldn't have thought to take pictures of him. I would have been making lots of noise, including using the car panic alarm, slamming and locking all the doors and hatch, etc. Great pictures. Thanks for sharing. :applause:

The bear wasn't afraid of us but luckily we had our dogs with us, because he was afraid of the dogs. As soon as they started barking at him he took off running!
