We loaded all our stuff back in the camper, left the inlaws place in Auckland and had a nice easy drive through to Hamilton. We arrived at the camp about 2:00pm and had a late lunch before setting up camp.

The rest of the afternoon we sat around and relaxed.
We had decided to put the gazedo up without the sides but as the day went by a cool south west breeze picked up so we added a couple of sides to create a wind break. Temperature for tonight is predicted to be 10°C, which will be far nicer than the stuffy 20°C+, that we have had the last few nights in Auckland.

Hi Marcus, Happy New Year to you too.
Where dose one get one in NZ ? Unfortunately you don't. We got these (we have two of them) on line from Anaconda in Australia, http://www.anacondastores.com/camping-hiking/tents/gazebos-screens-shades/dune-deluxe-rv-shade/p/BP90028813 but it pays to bring it back in your luggage yourself or like we did, get someone that is travelling over to bring it in their luggage. They weigh about 5kg and easily fit in your lugage. Posting from Australia is way too much. Keep checking them for sales, we paid a lot less than that for ours.
We also have a smaller one that has an end but no sides, that we got from FCO, I think that Super Cheep have a similar one.

We are on our way home after a long weekend in "The Naki" (Taranaki) with the NZ Ford Capri Car Club Summer Camp. We have been camped in an area with no internet. We have stopped for the night in Hamilton, which is the mid way point between there and home. On the way through we had a lunch stop at Mokau, a small costal settlement. The butcher across the street had a sign out, "White Bait For Sale".
So look what we had for dinner tonight.

Heading the rest of the way home tomorrow.

Thats good  glad you had a great weekend. We hadn't caught up on much news over the weekend, we were camped in the hills out the back of Inglewood, incommunicado. And when we weren't there we were travelling in the Capri, sunroof up windows down trying to keep cool, no air con in this one, and with the music coming from the dual exhaust system, who wants to listen to the radio (you can't hear it anyway).

Wow fantastic seeing all those old British cars.My brother worked on the dies that made the Ford Capri and Classics at Dagenham. It's a shame so many British car companies went under. Nice to see some Chryslers as well. My brother and I both worked at the Swindon plant that made bodies for Austin, Morris Farina body styles and Triumph 2000 MG Jaguar etc We both retired from Chrysler in the USA.
