I just found out I can get 2 weeks off work and decided to road trip to Key West and back along the gulf coast any sites to see in between. Leaving Wednesday the 21 in the morning. Help please no time to research. JUst a quick pack and go.

I'm a fan of all things automotive, and other power sports, especially drag racing. I wouldn't pass thru that part of the country without stopping in to see Big Daddy Don Garlits at his drag racing museum. (I'm due for a new Jocco's Porting Service streamliner t-shirt. )

When I was younger my parents took me to Cape Canaveral to see the Kennedy Space Center. I'd do that again in a heartbeat.

Thank you, diffidently the Cape (all way wanted to see it)and the race museum sounds like a good stop.

Well that was a short trip! One day out 700 miles down the road get a call my father-in-law Is in a bad way.
So turn around and drove right back. (over 14 out,12 back)
Got back at 8.30 pm Saw him at the hospital right away.
He passed last night.
I guess I make the right decision to turn around.
Florida has to wait.

Bummer! Haven't been to Garlits since 1988, but another place you can stop is Daytona and/or Sebring. Hoping the best for your FIL.
