Beautiful country and enticing photos. Hope to make it back some day.

Looks like the flow at Shoshone Falls is heavier than the last several years. Was that due to spring rains or winter snows or both?
Has the heat wave and high pressure in the Pacific Northwest finally broken?

My great-grandparent operated the lodge at Shoshone in the 1890s and grandparents had a confectionary store at Soda Springs in the early 1900s.

Not sure, someone told me thought that when the water is higher you can get by pillar falls up to Shoshone, right now you have to carry the kayaks over quite a few big rocks.... when we got home last Thursday it was hotter at our house then anywhere we had been except for eastern Washington which was over 100.... This week, it has cooled down to the high 70s low 80s...

that is cool about great grandparents.... twin falls was a nice place.... close to a lot of things....

Thanks! we met a couple from Stonewall Texas when we were in Montana on their way to Washington, there were traveling with a small trailer... not a teardrop, they had never been to Washington, so there were happy to get to talk to us to find out some good places to go....
