We had record rains this spring followed by a month of zero precipitation but everything is looking good for August. All the lakes are full and many overflowed earlier. It did not get to 100 degrees until a couple of weeks ago so a relatively mild summer.

Are you back in Vegas permanently? Probably looking at a trip westward this fall then north before the snow falls.

Thanks KC -

If it is old and/or odd, like me, it usually attracts my attention.

Quality suffers on these snapshots. I keep a small cheap digital camera in my shirt pocket and recently noticed the lens was scratched. Many of the shots are from the truck window so lighting direction is often less than ideal. None have been cropped or edited other than to downsize.

I have a better camera on a tripod but for these random shots don't take the time to get out and set up.

The buffalo calf was getting freaked by my dogs barking - We were on the motorbike about 10 feet away but thankfully he was more interested in grazing than dealing with the nuisance. I did not linger.
