We just got back from camping in Panamint Springs Resort in Death Valley. We had a great Thanksgiving dinner that the resort puts on every year, and lots of off-road exploring.

Here's our pictures. https://williamacarr.smugmug.com/Road-Trips/Thanksgiving-2015/.

Thanks for sharing it brings back memories, a geology field trip in 71 and after we were married in 77.

...Very interesting pictures! :applause:
Out of curiosity, since you were there for Thanksgiving, did you have a special feast on Thanksgiving day?

Sure did! Every year Panamint Springs Resort puts on an excellent home cooked Thanksgiving feast for whatever you want to donate! This year 350 people showed up.

Death Valley is a great place to spend Thanksgiving. We opted to camp a bit further from the crowds so we camped each night at a different spot. The first one was a bit to high up and a bit too cold. The other nights we kept to the valley. There is so much of DV that most folks don't get to see unless they have a high clearance vehicle. Still so much to see.
