Noseoil and I cross paths

Postby tony.latham » Thu Jul 14, 2016 10:13 pm

My wife and I had a great two-day camp with Tim (aka Noseoil) and his wife Alice at a little glacial tarn called Meadow Lake east of Gilmore, Idaho. (Good luck finding Gilmore on the map.)

Here's the lake which sits beside the campground at a breath taking 9,100'. With the elevation and the tail-end of cooler but sunny weather, we had a temperature of 35º at 8:00 a.m.

It was a neat deal to camp with another teardropper that I had gotten to know on this board. Tonight we're home and they're camped on the Bitterroot river––but this trip won't be our last campout together.

It was also great to see Tim's build, the Tucson Tortoise up close and personal. Having stalked his build thread it was a real flashback to get the personal tour. Quite the craftsmanship.

Cool! I have to admit I'm a bit envious of you all. I better get away from this computer and get myself out to the build!

We're home now & have had a great trip. Tony & Stephanie are both very fine people, hospitable & informative of their area, campsites & general background information (macro & micro). Here's one from our little hike.

Tim:

Hey! we took the same photo from the same place!

I almost sent you a text this morning asking you'd made it home.
