Believe it or not its a Town Hall.

We bombed to crap out of Calais before D-Day but it survived mostly in tacked.

Its notable because it has Rodans sculpture of 1884 "The Burgers of Calais" is in the grounds.
It commemorates the siege of Calais in 1337 by Edward the II. Part of the hundred year war.
A little thing we Europeans call history (joke)
