Griswold or Wagner.. is one better?

Postby Rocketgirl » Sun Jul 31, 2011 8:46 pm

so looked at a lot of yard sales and estate sales this weekend. Saw a lot of Griswold and Wagner cast iron pans. Is one brand better than the other value-wise?

They both made a great product. Griswold is more desirable . But I would look at the quality of the piece before the manufacturer. Check for a flat bottom. Many are warped from over heating. Don't by and that have been repaired or are very badly rusted unless they are rare pieces or cheap and you want to practice restoration.

Check out this site for more then you will ever want to know !
