It was a Wagner kind of day!

Postby Joamon » Wed Nov 23, 2011 7:31 pm

A few weeks ago we went to the flea market. It was a beautiful day!
I wasn't looking for anything in particular.I already have more than I can use. Just looking for anything I don't have. It just turned out that everthing I found was Wagner.
The first was a Wagner #6 pan. Nothing special, just a size I did't have.

$8.00

Next was a Wagner #8 Waffle Iron, with a med. or tall base.

The guy wanted $20.00. I didn't even haggle with him.

Last was a Wagner muffin pan.

The guy at first wanted $25.00 but came down to $15.00 on his own.
One of the reasons I bought it was because he told me something I did not know. If you look on the ends you notice a notch with a tab of sorts.
Do any of you know what that is for? Not only had I not seen (or noticed) one like this but I didn't own a muffin pan of this type.
Anywayi it was a fun and rewarding day.

While I"m not sure, but it may be a possibility on the slots on the muffin pan. Maybe it was made so that an old wood stove lid lifter could be slipped in it to remove it from the oven. Just an idea. Doug

I think you are right...there are a bunch of stove lid lifters on ebay like this one. It would be pretty skookum if you could find on one that fit and would let you reach into the oven to grab a hot batch of rolls!
