Help identify Some Iron

Postby Mark72 » Fri Dec 09, 2011 7:58 pm

I need help identifying the unmarked ones.
This pair of #7's are marked. Wagner Ware and a Hardwick Stove Co.

This is an unidentified #8 It has three dots under the #8 and a letter N.

The next 2 pics are of a skillet I think is much older than the rest It is a #7 with a very pronounced fire ring and an ornate handle.

Any help identifying these skillets would be greatly appreciated.

I know the gate mark on the bottom unidentified one makes it very old!

I'm sure the iron gurus will speak up soon and help.

I ran across a #8 with the gate mark identically made at a shop today. They did not know the maker of it though. One lady there was a Griswald collector. From what I understand from her is that the #8 with the 3 dots and letter N on the bottom May be a very early unmarked Griswald.

No, no work on the nova, I am still in collecting parts mode on it. I have seen so many project cars ruined because the owners stripped all the paint off of the car only to have them rust down due to the humidity here in the summers and condensation in the winters. I am not stripping the body down until I get all the panels I need together. I have learned to be patient and I will save a ton of money. I bought a $500 cowl induction hood new in the box for $220 this summer from one of those forgotten projects. If I bide my time the rest of what I need will come available for cheap. The car is stored in the dry so I am not worried about it. The front frame and suspension are all powder coated and ready for assembly.
