Anyone have an idea of where this little cast stove came from? It is so well done. Amazing work.

They are either toys or "salesman samples". This seems to be open to debate. There is a pretty good description of them here:

I had a similar one as a toy in the 50's, but I wouldn't be surprised if it had been modeled after samples that salesmen carried in much earlier days.

I have a very detailed 3 deep by 5-6 inches long and a couple inches high model of a monarch wood/coal fired kitchen range. Has the skillet, dutch oven, and removable lids with lid lifter all cast iron.

I bought a stover waffle iron as a mother daughter set and the little waffle iron makes a rather tiny 2 - 2 1/2 inch waffle. ( yes I had to try and made a few with it) Tiny and cute but fully functional. Sorry only have a picture of the big one.

My most favorite salesman sample toy cast iron is my sparks pot belly stove by the Joy iron works.

Fully functional and a great little heater is has been used on 2 winter camping outings.

Ya just gotta have tiny logs.

Just got a picture of the cast iron crescent stove.
