Griswold skillet

Just picked up a chrome? Griswold 7 Skillet. Block lettering with a mold? number 701. Is there any way to date it and/or know if it's chrome or nickel? There is some flaking or pitting of the plating. Can it be replated?

Thanks, Bob. Mine looks just like that one only it's a #7 and measures 10" at the top.
