Nothing could be more yummy than Kay's fish chowder. I have my oven out for a trial run but bringing a notepad for some good ideas. Can we expect rain this year?

Don't expect it, Mary ... but it never hurts to be prepared ... it is spring time in Northern California, after all ... :D ...! Kay's bringing a bunch of sun dresses, so it's gotta be great weather ...!

See ya in just over a week!

Hey Grant, being that we are emergency foster parents, we unexpectedly picked up a 16 yr old boy for the week. Any chance there will be some young'uns around his age at the gathering? He's gonna be pretty tired of just us old people after camping with us alone for a week! :?

There are usually a couple of teenagers in attendance ... none of the pre-registered campers have mentioned kids, though. There'll be plenty of things for him to do 'round the grounds, anyway, so you shouldn't worry about that. He might just get caught up in the adventure and go home with the bug ... ...!

Thanks, Grant, he already has the bug and is really excited just to go camping, I just thought it would be a good break from him (and us!) to have someone his own age to talk to after 5 straght days with us! He will no doubt be talking to everyone, kid, adult or otherwise.

High pressure staying put in Northern California all weekend long, only fog at the coast... I guess I can hack the sun for a few days, but I'll have to wear my shades. (Sorry Kay)

Packing up this a.m.
