IRG 3.0.....7 days to go people!!!!

That area of Southern Oregon and Northern California. (Ask Dean!) Includes Jefferson State Tearjerkers

Postby Ken Fincher » Sun Jun 27, 2010 5:11 am

GOT IT. :)

And in reguards to unfinished Teardrops, Well I'm sure that about 99% of us Teardroppers can honestly say that thier Teardrop is never realy done, We always add somthing new or change somthing.

Which in reguards to my TD, It has gone threw some major transformation since the Dam Gathering.

 You may not even no it's me pulling into the IRG.

Some new addittions a few changes & I have designed & built some new one of a kind Tail Lights, Well at least one of a kind until I sale a set or two.

I hope to get a few extra sets built before the gathering.

So I might possibly have a few sets to sale at the IRG.

Man we are getting excited to hit the road again, We don't know if we can wait another 2 weeks, We hope to start our journey towards the Redwoods on the 11th or 12th of July as of right now we don't know if we are going to head South, West or North when we depart Vegas.

Dean,
I've been trying to get another hat like the one I had at the Dam Gathering, But I have had no luck as of right now, I will keep trying.
(There hats are always changing) :(

See you all real soon.

Ken,
Yaa got good taste in hats! 8)

Another note worthy of pointing out ahead of time...
After kicking it around a bit... It's been decided that we won't be furnishing bottled water at the event this year. (We even showered with it at IRG1.0)
With the ample rainfall we've had during the winter and spring months, we feel that water source on site will meet our needs...
If you prefer the bottled stuff, bring your own this year.

Spent the weekend getting the truck ready for the trip. Oil change, air cleaner, tires rotated & cleaned up the inside. Got rid of the old inner spring mattress and purchased a memory foam mattress from Walmart. Lots of cleaning and organizing. Getting ready to spend some time with a map to finalize the itinerary. Got to get serious about some meal planning too.....

Can't wait to see everyone again!

Oh yeah, we'll be doing the Coal Miner breadkfast. The question we've been discussing is whether we do a second pot. Last time the big oven was empty in about 15 minutes. Have to borrow Dean's 20 if we go for the second one. The Saturday morning breakfast is becoming a tradition that we look forward to doing. We've already bought about 10 pounds of ground country sausage to bring up with us.

I'll try to post a pic of my hat in the next day or 2, I won't be home until Wed's.

I might even sneek a pic or 2 of my new tail lights

Then again I think I'll just wait until the IRG like I planned originally.

It's going to be hard for me not to post any pic's before the IRG, I do think they turned out pretty darn good.

(Man I fill like a little kid wanting let the cat out of the bag)

Boy biscuits & Gravy sound really tasty.

Well we & the TD are pretty much set to head for the IRG.

Well maybe not quite.

1.Teardrop Racer is in pieces & I need to put it together to make sure
that it even rolls.

2. I made a compartment under my TD to hold our awning set up,
Well I don't like it, I will be removing.

3. :scratchthinking: Need to design somthing different for awning set up.

4. Need to extend my TD trailer electrical cord so that I have a little slack when it's plugged into the tow vehicle.

5. Need to install a couple of special order led rear clearance lights that should be hear hopfully Wed's or Thurs along with 40+ Trailer Tires.

(Figured heck order 40 tires so I could save on the $8. it would of cost to ship just the lights)

6. I'm sure that I'll figure out somthing else, I still have a couple of weeks which is about as long as it took to do all of my other TD modiications.

 Plenty of time left.

We can't wait to get to cooler weather.
110+ today
