Right on.

How do you feel about Jonathan Winters, Jimmy Durante and The Three Stooges together?

In a few days I will make up a list to vote on, to make the list it must be a DVD that is readily available so we don’t run into the same problem that I had at IRG 2. (playing back a copied disk)

Prem....I love that movie, one of my favorites....but just checking...it's running time is 2hr 41 min....pretty long. I also thought of The Great Race 2hr40min. Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines 2hr18min. Paint Your Wagon 2hr44min. All big classics with tons of stars from the 60's. Young Frankenstein 1hr46min. The Long Long Trailer is 1hr36min.

I don't mean to poo poo anyone's ideas but like I hinted at before...that's a long time to sit in a chair and after a whole days events, and you're full of DO cooking a beverage or 6, and after whatever you were doing during the day...it's lights out....I just think it ought to be a short one. Doug

Doug,

Man! We are on the same page! THE GREAT RACE was my first thought, but then I realized that MAD, MAD WORLD was the ultimate in humor for this venue.

You guys just chose something you think would be optimal. I'm probably going to pass out about 10 PM anyway that evening...you know...about the time it gets dark in the summer!

How 'bout just that? Or at least that format and all short films?

Well....the next option is 2 nights of movies.....for me....I would make it through 1...but not 2 in the same night, but I can only speak for myself. I don't think I'm alone on that....I ain't 16 anymore. With the Long Long Trailer as a main feature and just about any other newer movie as a 2nd, and I think we ought to have a short/ cartoon before the main...you're looking at 4 hours, with any extra efforts to get it all operating and misc. adjusting. Dan...the Stooges run about 17 min/per. I've got 47 of them, all Curlies, no Shemp/ Curlie Joe, '37-'42...thing is...some are kinda dogs, fun to see the old stuff, cars, houses etc..., but the plots are not too good on some, like any of them were all that great, however "A Plumbing we will go" is outstanding! does have some ethnic characters in it however, seems unusual that is now something to consider on a 70 year old comedy short. They are not copies, but the real thing. Doug

Cherokee George and I can do our Bill Clinton or Bill Murray (Caddy Shack) act if you want, but I'm sure 4 days of it will get old anyway! .....
