When I leave Applegate I am heading to McKinleyville to meet up with some family from back-east. I am looking at the mad river rapids RV park. I know exactly where it is becuase I graduated from Arcata High and am familiar with the area. I would rather be in North McKinleyville (Dows Prarie) or Blue Lake, Fieldbrook, the weather is usually a little better
and can get downright hot.
Any ideas better ideas than Mad River "there aren't any rapids here" RV Park? I want to stay within 30 minutes of McKinleyville. And JEEPERS they are $46 A NIGHT.
But I am NOT staying at the boat ramp, and the park off of Murray is almost as bad.
