My latest build

Postby asianflava » Thu Jun 10, 2010 1:04 am

Finished my bike build the other day. I was working on it off and on over the course of a week. Used everything in the kit, but I had to fab up a new chain tensioner. The tensioner in the kit was junk and I could just picture it falling into the spokes.

I've been riding it in and around the neighborhood but it still isn't fully broken in yet. I'm still on my first tank of gas.

Thanks! I just ordered a springer front end for it. That will really give it that "vintage" look.

:o I looked at this bike yesterday on here, and lo and behold, I was driving to the Navy Base and this guy is coming toward my pretty fast and not peddling at all!! He was on one similar to yours, weird, Huh? Didn't have time to turn around and chase him.

Installed the Springer Front end last night. The forks were too long so I had to cut it down on my bandsaw. That el cheapo HF horizintal bandsaw has saved me a few times now. I also installed front and rear calipers on it, the coaster brake wasn't cutting it. Right now, only the front is working I need to get a dual pull lever (one lever for both brakes) to finish it off, the other lever controls the clutch.

Just out of curiosity, what bike and engine kit did you use? This is too cool!

You really need to mount that tank, or fab up a cool aluminum one, inside the frame, it would look a whole lot cleaner. Cool bike!
