x2cycle, instead of tandem

Postby rowerwet » Sat Aug 25, 2012 7:05 am

on our 13th anniversary my wife and I took our TD "Storm Warning" on our first camping trip, while I did give her a tandem bike for a wedding present, it is rather bulky to carry along, especially on a 1,400 mile trip. For our 10th I bought the x2cycle tandem rack system and we used it just fine, so this time I also brought a couple mouse boats to do a section of the Delaware river. Using the x2cycle we were able to both arrive back at the launch ramp at the same time, even though she doesn't ride her bike as fast as I do normally. Instead of having to wait for her most of the way, she stayed right behind me and we were able to talk the whole way, just like we did on our Tandem, even though we were on two different bikes. 97146
