It was supposed to be a link to more bike pics.

Yeah, I seen the sandman ... its def more of a mountain bike, than this one.
I still like this one, ( esp the simple drivetrain ) even with that cross bar going the wrong way...

Maybe my local frambuilder can do that, if i give him a frame to cut up ... ... i mean a pug frme is like ~300$

They look really nice to me, like I would like to have one, but most of our trails here now are way too tight for a tandem. They physically just wont fit.
On the first one you posted.. that "cross brace" does vary from different people. Different builders will have reasons for putting it where they do. Some new tandems don't use them at all. They are using larger diameter tubing an leaving it out. I have friends with a Paketa with no other frame tubes inside the main triangle. My older custom off-road tandem has them going in both directions.

That is the Fat Mutha Trucker! Owned and raced by my teamates on Mom & Pop Racing p/b Sweet Bikes of Caton Mi.

I've taken rides as both capt and stoker, she's a handful. A stupid amount of fun. I think she's around 50lbs now.

The idea came about during a beer-fueled end of season party after The Iceman Cometh, and went from idea to working prototype in less than 2 months.

The frame was built by a private local builder who does all of Sweet Bikes crazy ideas like the giraffe bike, swing bike, donk bike and the hot dog cart bike(E-powered). It's quite a collection.

tmb, pictures of the others mentioned would be great :)

I'm in Plymouth, MI but I haven't been down to Sweet Bikes in a few years. I'll have to stop in for a visit.
