Hey ladies. I'm Janet.. currently of South carolina..and eventually of Maplesville Alabama in 4 years or so. Retirement is planned for there on a 50 acre plot we're building on. Lots of room for dogs, horses and goats, maybe a long ear or two. Just started a build on a Foamie. Making a Mini Hopper thats not exactly mini at 6 x 9 ./ I've all sorts of strange hobbies so this build hasnt suprised my family one little bit. Hoping to use the foamie as a camper on the land while we build over the next year or so.

Welcome, 1950. Cold with the galley lid up? It could be that your teardrop isn't insulated; or, maybe the wall between the cabin and galley isn't insulated. It's best to close your galley at night, anyway, because critters might want to investigate if it is open.

1950 tear there's also the possibility that if it was colder outside than in your trailer (your body heat can warm things up) the damp may have been from condensation occurring inside your trailer because of the difference in temperatures. Even though my trailer is insulated if I don't keep the vent open and running, or the windows open with no vent fan, things can get damp inside with water droplets forming on the window inside The Glampette. From what I've read about uninsulated trailers it will also occur on the (wood) walls too, not just the window glass. To prevent the condensation from occurring I try to keep the interior of the trailer as close to the outside temperature as possible preferring to keep the vent open and layering warm clothes for sleeping on chilly nights.

I agree with Stacie. The Hill House isnt insulated and if I close it up the condensation is terrible. I keep the windows open just a bit and the vent in the roof. Just that little bit of air movement prevents the water build up on the inside walls.

Someday, we will learn to take living in stride. Sometime, we will learn to pay less attention to the imagined and stop fussing about things we had nothing to do with in the past - and cannot change significantly in the future. Very soon, we will sit together in the sun a whole day and just be happy that we can sit together in the sun all day and just be happy.
