My new kitchen appliance..................an ovenette.

Haven't tried it yet but saw this West Bend Ovenette posted under "resources" on the National Serro Scotty Organization website. Check out this link: http://www.nationalserroscotty.org/reso ... nette.html

I'll have to report how it cooks and bakes but I was able to print the recipe book off the resource list plus extras were posted there too. My West Bend Oventte cost me $15.

Should be a fun addition to either my td or Scotty kitchen.

Wow--good find! It fits over a gas or electric burner, right?

Yes you can bake cakes and pies............the box and recipes even list cooking a roast.

I'll have to do a test this coming weekend to see how it works. Just could be a great item to add to my td or Scotty kitchen.

The St. Croix tearjerkers are having a gathering this weekend up in Interstate Park in Taylor Falls Minnesota. The fall colors will be peaking and we would love to volunteer to be your test guinea pigs. :shake hands:

Barb, one of those sold for over $100 on Ebay in September. You got a steal of a deal on yours.

ah.
Bummer.
But y'know, if it fits over gas or propane, I wonder if it would fit over a wood fire on a grate? Hmmmmm.....

Great Barb,

Please let us know how your cake turns out.

BTW, - Ohio? I once visited the Cuyahoga Valley during the Fall season. It was gorgious! If you are near the valley, that might make a great trip.

Barb,

That's just way too cool! I tend to frequent thrift shops and antique stores but have never seen one like it. Great find!
