First Solo Campout in My Teardrop

Postby monkeyfingers4 » Mon Sep 21, 2009 8:48 am

I took my teardrop to the Walnut Valley Bluegrass Festival in Winfield, Kansas for an entire week. Just got home late yesterday evening. I went with two of my girlfriends from high school (we graduated about 36 years ago.) One of my friends was tent camping and the other was sleeping in the back of her truck in a camper shell. They were totally amazed at how easy the teardrop was to hookup and unhook. I looked like a pro and it was my first time by myself.

I was the envy of the campground yesterday when I took about 15 minutes to get my "cabin ready for departure." Everyone else worked for HOURS packing up all their stuff. I LOVE MY TEARDROP!!!!! and can hardly wait for my next solo trip out with my girlfriends. We had a blast.

Up at the top of the page, third row under "log in", is a link to "help with photos".

MonkeyFingers,

I wasn't there, but I'd say that you managed to convert a few folks on that campout! Ain't it grand to stand next to your teardrop as fellow campers gaze in amazement :) ...well something like that!

Keep on campin'!

My friends can only wish they had a teardrop. They still have kids in school. It will be a while before they are "ready."

I did figure out how to post some pictures in my gallery.

Thanks for the pictures, Monkeyfingers. :applause: The trailer sure beats the ground and a tent, doesn't it! You're even fully electrically equipped!

 Looks like you have all the essentials for comfy camping. Now truthfully--------how many people envied the coffee pot? One of the best parts is that hot cup on a cool morning......... ;)

We have a coffee pot and we set it on a timer. It's great to wake-up to the smell of coffee brewing!

But, monkeyfingers, I am very envious of your DVD Player, above the bed, and your microwave. Where did you get them? I love that "bubble window" microwave!

I'm glad you had a great solo trip. I want to do that, myself. :)

The microwave is from Wal-Mart. I liked the bubble look of it as well.
